My Blog:
A body in motion
Welcome to my blog . I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis on June 1, 2015. Yes, I know the exact date. Life is now pre-RA and post-RA. There have been changes to my life due to this diagnosis. I'm not talking about the shock or worry, but the gall bladder surgery, the changes in physical abilities, the medication cycle, and the embracing of alternative medicines such as supplements, acupuncture, and ground therapy.
This page will be my place to talk about life with a chronic illness and how I'm fighting back. I'll share my struggles and victories, what works for me and what doesn't. If you have RA, you know one of the main frustrations about this illness is that it can be different for everyone. There isn't just one way to 'do' or 'survive' RA. I might be able to do things or eat things you can't. Weather changes may put me into a flare and that doesn't happen to you. One medication may work great for me and you couldn't tolerate it. So - take this for what it is - my experience. Some of what I do or try may work for you. Or not. But, you don't know if you don't have an open mind and give it a try. I'm looking forward to sharing my experiences with you.
